Established in 1984 by Nancy Clark, this group is affiliated with the International Assoc. for Near-Death Studies, Inc. to respond to people's needs for information and support concerning near-death and similar experiences. Meetings foster open discussion of issues that may involve any aspect or interpretation whether secular, religious, metaphysical, scientific, medical or other, or any subject pertinent to an individual's experience or to the subject of consciousness in general. Differing points of view are welcome. The group does not restrict discussion to any single interpretation or point of view and will not attempt to promote or proselytize. The group meets the 1st Sat. of every month at the non-affiliated Columbus Mennonite Church library, 35 Oakland Park Ave from 10 am-12 noon. Free and open to the public. NDERF.org ~The Near-Death Experience Research Foundation is a wonderful website created by former IANDS board member Jeffrey Long, MD and his wife, Jody. It contains a comprehensive array of NDEs in different languages. They've also got adcrf.org and oberf.org.

An interesting thing happened following my taping. The interviewer approached me and pointed to a large area covering my body from the head down to my waist. She told me it was a very beautiful aura. The camera man began taking photos of me with his digital camera and appearing on one of the photos was a huge cloudy mass covering my head down to my waist. Everything else in the photo was clear and in perfect focus except for this area over my body. Apparently what happened, is that the photo picked up my aura at a particular moment, thus lending credibility to what the interviewer saw emanating from me before any photos were taken. Everyone was quite fascinated to observe my aura on film, and needless to say, I was quite amazed to see myself in this manner.
